Depression
Depression is a common and serious medical illness that causes persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, emptiness, and loss of interest. Depression can be brought on by numerous factors such as stress, trauma, regret, loss, childbirth, or even a genetic predisposition to developing the disease.
Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety is a normal emotion that causes fear, increased alertness, and physical signs such as sweating and rapid heart rate. However, when anxiety reactions lead to excessive nervousness, fear, worry, or avoidance of certain situations, it might become a medical disorder.

ADHD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is marked by an ongoing pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning or development. Scientists have not yet identified the specific causes of ADHD. There is evidence that genetics contribute to ADHD.

PTSD

You In Mind Behavioral Health will assess for symptoms often associated with PTSD. We will discuss and provide treatment options to help our patients with the relief of symptoms such as anxiety, changes in mood, nightmares, or feelings of guilt that can interfere with everyday life.

Bipolar Disorders

Bipolar disorder is a brain disorder characterized by extreme emotions and severe mood swings. Bipolar disorder presents differently in every patient. Some patients may experience only occasionally mild mood swings where others are subjected to frequent and severe mood variations.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are very serious and often fatal illnesses that are associated with severe disturbances in people’s eating behaviors. There is a generally held misunderstanding that eating disorders are a lifestyle choice.

Mood Disorders

Mood disorders, sometimes referred to as emotional disorders, may be largely hidden to those around you. They can produce numerous symptoms such as sadness, hopelessness, low self-esteem, loss of interest, or relationship problems to name just a few. Anyone can feel sad or depressed from time-to-time, however, in mood disorders, those feeling are more intense and can last weeks, months, or even years.
